Within the last few years, A24 has been producing some of the most divisive films in cinema. Some staples of A24 include films like Green Room, Ex Machina, The VVitch, and It Comes at Night. Whether you enjoy their films or not, you have to admit that they have been putting out some of the most original content movies currently have to offer. The acclaimed film company currently has two new “horror” film slated for 2018. There has been no official press release from A24 but we have a solid idea of what we can expect.

The first horror film from A24 in the following year might be a production by Director David Robert Mitchell. He’s mainly known for his breakout horror flick It Follows (2014). According to IMDB and Box Office Mojo, his latest thriller Under The Silver Lake is completed and can be expected as early as March. Due to the film being kept tightly under wraps there’s currently no official synopsis for the film but the film does feature Andrew Garfield (Amazing Spider-Man, Hacksaw Ridge) and Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road, It Comes at Night).

The second horror film from A24 in 2018 features none other than independent rap artist Chancelor Bennet (aka Chance the Rapper). Directed by Austin Vesely who is known for his work with Chance on the Angels music video. The film is titled Slice, and tells the story of a pizza delivery driver who is murdered on the job, the city searches for someone to blame: ghosts? drug dealers? a disgraced werewolf? There’s currently a teaser trailer and illustrated poster. The film is categorized as a horror-comedy and will most likely hit select theaters in April.
