The eighth season of American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres September 12 on FX. Almost on the daily, we are being fed tidbits about returning cast and shown new promos. What treats did we get this past week from the AHS camp?

Dylan McDermott was spotted in and around the AHS set this past week, all but confirming earlier tweets from McDermott that stated he would soon return to the show. He will be reprising his role of Ben Harmon from the show’s first season, Murder House. Of course, Ben would be nothing without his wife, Vivien Harmon, portrayed by Connie Britton, who was also announced to returning. Yay!

And of course pre-season excitement wouldn’t be the same without a slew of video promos, and we haven’t been let down. The official American Horror Story twitter page has given two new and surely there will be more to come.

The more interesting of the two promos has who may or may not be Sarah Paulson’s new character promoting a lottery to grant safety during the apocalypse. This lottery also ties into a contest fans can enter for a chance to attend an exclusive AHS: Apocalypse experience. Of course, being AHS, no other details have been revealed but we do know that she will be portraying AHS: Coven‘s Cordelia and AHS: Murder House‘s Billie Dean.

Returning for the crossover season are Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Stevie Nicks, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, and Gabourey Sidibe. Jessica Lange will return as Constance Langdon in an episode directed by Sarah Paulson. Returning from other seasons are Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, and Adina Porter. New to the series will be Joan Collins (Empire of the Ants, Dynasty), Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (Grave Encounters 2), Cody Fern (American Crime Story: The Assassination of Giovanni Versace) and Kyle Allen (XX). Whew! That’s a large cast with more to be added, for sure.

Has Ryan Murphy given the ultimate fan service with this season? Which character are you most excited about returning?
