In anticipation of the new season of American Horror Story, co-creator Ryan Murphy shared two photos of our favorite reunited coven on social media. They’re back, witch, and ready to scare audiences everywhere.

The first American Horror Story teaser image is from Murphy’s Instagram. It shows Sarah Paulson, who plays Cordelia, Lily Rabe, who plays Misty, and the witchiest of them all, Stevie Nicks, who plays herself. Murphy captioned the image, “The Return. Cordelia, Stevie, and Misty casting a bewitching spell.” A bewitching spell they cast, indeed. Clad all in black, the trio oozes Big Witch Energy.

The second image, from Murphy’s Twitter, shows most of the American Horror Story: Coven crew back together, from Emma Roberts’ Madison to Taissa Farmiga’s Zoe. Murphy said, “The Coven Returns. What a thrilling night with the legend Stevie Nicks on the set of AHS.” The witches are back together again.

However, at the end of AHS: Coven most of these characters are dead. How will Murphy bring them back to life? I have a feeling he has a few tricks up his sleeve. But, we’ll have to tune in to find out.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is the eighth season of the horror anthology series. It follows American Horror Story: CultApocalypse will be a crossover of season 1, Murder House, and season 3, Coven. There aren’t many details, yet. But, according to executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall,

“The story begins with the end of the world,” said Woodall. “It starts in the real world. It’s very tangible, and it’s a familiar panic.”

FX has announced that series favorites will make a return, such as the legendary Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Frances Conroy. It will also star the usual suspects, such as Evan Peters. It is reported that Sarah Paulson will play two different characters: Cordelia from Coven and Billie Dean Howard from Murder House.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres September 12th on FX. What’s your favorite season of AHS? Let us know in the comments below, on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and in the Horror Fiends of Nightmare on Film Street Facebook group!
