We officially have a premiere date for the upcoming season of American Horror Story! The crossover season between Murder House and Coven is set to air on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10/9 on FX.
While we have a premiere date and we know the crossover season is upon us, we still do not have an official title. However, Radioactive has been a highly rumored title for this season. I am sure we will soon know the official title and get those amazing teaser posters we get every year. With Murder House and Coven being fan favorites, season 8 is sure to be a hit with audiences.
As of right now, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, and Kathy Bates will return this season. Joan Collins is set to appear as well. There is no word on which characters from Murder House and Coven are returning. Paulson previously played the role of medium Billie Dean Howard in Murder House (who also appeared in Hotel), as well as the role of Head Supreme Cordelia Foxx in Coven. Evan Peters originally played troubled ghost Tate Langdon in Murder House, and Coven’s frankensteined teen, Kyle Spencer. But it is unclear if any of Paulson or Peters’s previous characters will be playing a role in this season’s shenanigans.
Previously, Ryan Murphy had discussed the Murder House-Coven crossover, stating that he would love to bring back as many characters as possible. But with so many prestigious actors involved, all of those schedules would be difficult to lineup. So let’s all hope things are going to work out.
Many fans, including myself, are hoping that this crossover event could bring back the incredible Jessica Lange. Lange’s absence has definitely been noticeable and the return of Constance Langdon or Fiona Goode would be cause for celebration. While Lange previously said she would not return to American Horror Story, we all are hoping this season could change that.
Murphy recently told Entertainment Weekly “You will see so many fan favorites return that you’ll feel like it’s The Love Boat […] It’s a very high concept. It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode 5.”
Every season of American Horror Story stirs up rumors galore and season eight is no exception. Are you excited for Season 8? Let us know in the comments below, on on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and in the Horror Fiends of Nightmare on Film Street Facebook group!
