Last winter, audiences binged Season one of Netflix’s Horror-Comedy Santa Clarita Diet. The zany show marked Drew Barrymore’s return to Horror, portraying a suburban mom who’s come down with a case of the zombie’s curse. The show follows her, along with her family, as they deal with a ramifications of having mom eat every asshole in town.

Though no official word yet has dropped, since the Season Two promo video Netflix shared in late May (above), but we did get a hint today that the show would be returning, very soon. It appears the entire cast has returned and filming (at least with the principal cast) has completed! This photo was posted on Drew Barrymore’s official Instagram page just hours ago:

We did it. Enjoy season two.

Season One Synopsis:

Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant star in this Netflix-original series as married realtors, Sheila and Joel, who are living a quiet life, raising their teenage daughter in Santa Clarita, Calif. Their world unexpectedly changes when Sheila goes through a dramatic transformation that sends her down a road of death and destruction — but leaves her looking and feeling better than ever. Barrymore and Olyphant also serve as executive producers, alongside showrunner and creator Victor Fresco (“Better Off Ted”).

Victor Fresco serves as showrunner, executive produces with Barrymore through Flower Films, Olyphant, Kaplan, Katsky, and Flower Films’ Chris Miller and Ember Truesdell. Flower Films’ Nancy Juvonen is a producer.

No concrete date for premiere of Season 2 of The Santa Clarita Diet has been set, but I expect we’ll be seeing the show early 2018.
