These images come to us from the good folks at Entertainment Weekly, and they’re sure to please Sabrina fans. The first image is of Kiernan Shipka in full costume as the teenage witch, complete with a broom. Shipka, formerly of Mad Men, was cast as Sabrina in January, and looks every bit the part. The second image is a little harder to identify, but with a little knowledge of the comic that inspired Sabrina, we can make some educated guesses. The first arc of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic follows Sabrina as she approaches her sixteenth birthday. It’s then that she will choose to either accept her mystic birthright or live as a mortal.

In the comics, her choice happens during a ceremony deep in the woods and under the full moon. With this knowledge, we can guess that that’s what we’re seeing in the second image. It’s Sabrina, her fellow witches, and…well, we don’t know who that mysterious man is. However we do know that, in the comics, part of Sabrina‘s ceremony involves summoning the devil. Could this impeccably dressed mystery man be Lucifer himself? We’ll have to wait to find out.
