Put down that guacamole and listen up, Fiends. The Cloverfield Paradox will be available to stream tonight! Fans have long suspected that the first official trailer for Cloverfield Paradox would debut during the Super Bowl, but this announcement further proves that we are always one-step behind J.J. Abrams and the creative team behind the Cloverfield universe. We are still in the dark on what this new installment of the franchise will be, and the teaser trailer leaves us with even more questions.

Best we can tell, The Cloverfield Paradox will take us back, to explain the story’s origin. Where did Clover come from? Was he a manufactured weapon, or simply a prehistoric monster awoken by a fallen satellite? Details aside, this news comes as a complete shock, only days after the supposed release date was “pushed back” from February to April. Needless to say, even now- only a few short hours before the films drops on Netflix- we are still on toes.

Here’s what we (think we) know:

The Cloverfield Paradox is directed by Julius Onah.  Chris O’Dowd, David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Elizabeth Debicki and Daniel Brühl will star. The rumored synopsis (as of several months ago), is that the film follows a group of space-dwelling astronauts with a particle accelerator who accidentally make the entire Earth vanish. Whoops. How Clover will play into this, we have yet to learn.
