Comic series Locke and Key has had quite a journey to the small screen. First it was supposed to go on Fox. Then Fox dropped it and Hulu picked it up. Then Hulu dropped it and Netflix picked it up. Finally, after enough ups and downs to make a fighter pilot sick, the show has begun production and is set to hit Netflix sometime soon. And now, two new stars have been added to the show’s lineup.
Via Deadline, American Vandal actor Griffin Gluck will star as a series regular on the show, which centers around a family called Locke and the unconventionally haunted house in which they live. Gluck will play Gabe, a school friend of the one of the Locke children who gets wrapped up in the demonic plot. This will be Gluck’s third Netflix role, after American Vandal and the feature film Tall Girl.
Also joining the cast is Steven Williams as a recurring guest. Williams will play Joe Ridgeway, a teacher at the school who also makes friends with the Locke family. Locke and Key will premiere exclusively on Netflix, with every episode of Season One streaming upon release. Until then, we’ll be keeping you up to date with all the Locke and Key news we hear.
