Character Actor Crispin Glover is no stranger to genre projects. He most recently appeared as Mr. World on the television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, and a host of other quirky, standout roles. Such as; Willard in Willard (2003), Thin Man in Charlie’s Angels (2000) and Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle (2003), George McFly in Back to the Future (1985), and who could forget- Jimmy Mortimer in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter..
Well, it seemed strange pays- as Crispin has just signed on for another project well-suited to his odd attributes. Deadline reports that Crispin Glover will join Nina Dobrev, Luke Bracey, and Michael Madsen in Roger Avary’s upcoming feature Lucky Day. Glover will portray Luc, a psychopathic contract killer who is on a hunt to avenge the death of his brother, accidentally killed by American safe-cracker Red (Luke Bracey) during a job gone wrong.
Roger Avary, an Oscar winner for co-writing Pulp Fiction with Quentin Tarantino, wrote and is directing the film. This marks his first directorial outing after a 13-year hiatus. The duo behind the Silent Hill and Resident Evil franchises, Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody, are producing this project. The film is currently in production, shooting in Toronto.
Red, a safe cracker who has just been released from prison, is trying to hold his family together as his past catches up with him in the form of Luc, a psychopathic contract killer who’s seeking revenge for the death of his brother.
Glover stars in the Starz series American Gods, which is set to return for a second season.
