It may be the end of the year, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of getting new movies. Netflix has really doubled down on their original content, leaning pretty heavily on genre films like the psychological thriller Gerald’s Game or horror-comedy Little EvilNetflix is seemingly saving the best for last with Fantasy-Action film Bright hitting the streaming service December 22nd, 2017. With it’s release right around the corner, Netflix has dropped one more trailer to really get people excited.

Bright is the much anticipated film from director David Ayers (The End of Watch, Fury) starring Will Smith (who previously worked with Ayers on Suicide Squad) and Joel Edgerton (It Comes At Night) The film takes place in a world where humans and mythical creatures live together. A human police officer and an Orc police officer must put their differences aside to protect a magic wand from dark forces. The new trailer highlights how Bright looks to have a bit of everything: action, humor, magic, and I’m sure a little horror.

Official synopsis via Netflix:

Set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time. Bright is genre-bending action movie that follows two cops from very different backgrounds. Ward (Will Smith) and Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), embark on a routine patrol night and encounter a darkness that will ultimately alter the future and their world as they know it.

Bright was penned by screenwriter Max Landis (Chronicle, Mr. Right), so you can definitely expect some funny dialogue and interesting characters to bring this unique world to life. The film has already been gaining popularity from its soundtrack, so this last trailer is the final push before release. The film looks to be part buddy-cop movie, part fantasy adventure. Either way, Bright looks like a film not to be missed.

Bright Drops on Netflix December 22nd, 2017.
