You’d be hard-pressed to find a more iconic horror film than William Friedkin’s 1973 film The Exorcist. The television adaptation does its best to live up to its parent’s reputation. Jeremy Slater’s nod to the seventies horror classic features top-notch cinematography, phenomenal acting performances and high-quality writing. Each episode will keep you guessing long after it airs. The first season was one of the most-watched shows on FOX last fall, and for good reason.

In Season one of the Exorcist,

Angela Rance believes something is very wrong in her home. Plagued by increasingly frightening nightmares, she isn’t the only one in her family suffering: her husband Henry is slowly losing his mind, while their older daughter spends all of her time locked in her room, and the younger one believes she hears strange noises coming from inside the walls. Desperate, she turns to Father Tomas Ortega — the progressive leader of their suburban Chicago parish — setting him on a collision course with old school Vatican soldier Father Marcus Brennan, as all of their fates become entangled in a battle against an ancient force of evil.

The latest chapter in the iconic horror franchise, The Exorcist: Season 2 promises thrills, chills and scares to rival those of the first season. Set against the haunting backdrop of Pacific Northwest, we follow Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) as they move on to another possession case. Keep reading for a first look at the thrilling new poster, stills and featurette from the upcoming season.
