Lock up the cabin doors and hide under your bunk! Gun Media has dropped a new trailer for fans of Friday the 13th: The Game. Showcasing the announced Virtual Cabin 2.0. Only a couple weeks from announcing the DLC Roadmap, Gun Media is making good on their promise to players that they are working on more content for the game.

Originally a short demo for those who backed the Kickstarter for the game, Gun Media has updated the demo for free to all who purchased the game. The demo allowed backers to take a look at an early design for the game, allowing them to interact in the world of Friday the 13th. This allowed them to get a feel for the content of the game early on. Now, post release, the developer is bringing the updated version with more than just a demo, but more content for players to explore.

We redid the entire layout of the VC, made it bigger, with more puzzles, easter eggs and props from both the films and the game.

Not all is safe for those exploring the cabin, in Gun Media’s announcement, they imply there is something more to the museum-like experience. Giving players more frights from a different perspective.

VC 2.0 still has an F13 museum aspect to it, but there’s something deeper, beneath the surface if you wish to dig around. We liken this experience to a certain crazy good/fun horror demo that got canceled. However we’re doing our own thing, wrapped in Friday the 13th, and we think it’s pretty cool. The whole experience is in 1st person and has some jump scares that you twisted people love so much.

Coming soon, players will be able to enjoy the virtual cabin and all its secrets on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PC). For those who originally backed the game and purchased the original Virtual Cabin can rest easy as the updated version will be available as well on Steam.

While you wait, be sure to check out the trailer, above.

Players can currently send off the summer with new skins in the Spring of 1984 Clothing Pack. Be Sure to also check out more creepy content announced to come to Friday the 13th: The Game, coming soon.
