The Halloween hype is officially in hyperdrive as we head into the month of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. EW is taking full advantage, and is feeding the hype monster with this week’s issue. You may have seen the photos bombarding your Twitter or Instagram feeds. Have you seen the one of Curtis consoling Laurie? Feelings. There is no consoling in the following clip, though, as we see Laurie in the midst of her final battle with Michael. Check it below.

The tension! Myers! Strode! Little Strode! The score! It’s 52 seconds eliciting pure, unbridled excitement! It may be unfair to base an assumption of a film off of 52 seconds, but oh my heck, does it make promise for a hell of a film!

The first screening of the film took place at TIFF (read what NoFS’s Kim had to say), and will be hitting a few more festivals before it makes its theatrical bow.

In case you’ve been living under a rotten pumpkin, here’s the official plot synopsis:

A British documentary crew comes to the States to visit Michael in prison for a retrospective of the maniac’s night of terror — but their project becomes way more interesting when Myers escapes custody, retrieves his signature mask and seeks revenge on Laurie, with others naturally being part of his impressive career body count along the way.

In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak).

Between now and the film’s Thursday night premiere on October 18th are 21 days which means there are 21 more days for this wonderful hype to continue.  What more tricks will we be treated to between now and then? Are you feeling this hype, or are you steering clear of it all as to not be spoiled of anything from the film?
