The end of Halloween 2019 coincided with the wrapping of filming on Halloween Kills. Now we must wait a little under a year for the film to play out in front of our eyes. During that wait, we are sure to be privy to many more behind the scenes shots, tidbits on production, and eventually the trailer that will surely send the internet into a frenzy.

If you were near the internet on Halloween, you may have been among the first to see a teaser, of sorts, featuring behind the scenes snippets of scenes from the film. Jamie Lee Curtis, being the Queen of Halloween that she is, posted the clip on her Twitter. In it, we got quick glimpses of the return of Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall) and Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards), a distraught Karen Strode (Judy Greer), and a shotgun wielding Allyson (Andi Matichak) amidst a few shots of David Gordon Green directing before the clip ends with Jamie Lee Curtis on a hospital stretcher, wishing us a Happy Halloween.

But wait! Was that Allyson sporting a nurse costume and a gun, at one point? Is that Lindsey being thrown by Michael against a car? Is everyone else with me in trying to decipher every little bit of action in this clip?!

Details are scarce on the true plot line of the film, but there was one little snippet during the clip that is interesting. Don’t blink, and you’ll see Michael standing on the porch of Laurie’s burning house. It’s obvious that he escapes, but seeing that nearly a second moment of him standing in the midst of the flames was enough to satiate the Myers “need.” For now.

There were other treats handed out by the Halloween Kills crew during the holiday. A PSA of sorts had Dylan Arnold, who portrayed Allyson’s cheating boyfriend, Cameron, who should have died, but didn’t, proclaiming that he isn’t the Halloween cheating boyfriend that Blumhouse makes him out to be (see him also play a cheating boyfriend on Halloween in Into the Dark: Uncanny Annie). HalloweenMovies’ Twitter posted a still of Tommy, Lindsey, and Marion Chambers (Nancy Stephens). All of this was capped by the official announcement by producer, Ryan Turek, that filming had wrapped with a photo on his socials of director, David Gordon Green, standing behind the camera, basked in orange light.

Green returns as director with a script written by him, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems. Returning from Halloween ’18 is Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Nick Castle (Michael Myers), James Jude Courtney (Michael Myers), Dylan Arnold, Omar J. Dorsey (Sheriff Barker) and Jibrail Nantamby (Julian). Returning from Halloween ’78 is Kyle Richards, Charles Cyphers (Sheriff Brackett) and Nancy Stephens. Newcomers include Anthony Michael Hall.

Keep an eye out on the socials involved with Halloween Kills as I’m sure they’ll release little bits up until October 16, 2020 when the film hits theaters. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all of those bits here at Nightmare on Film Street as well as on our Twitter, Instagram, reddit, and on The Horror Movie Fiend Club on Facebook!
