The time has come, fiends. Fangoria is officially open for new subscriptions!

Since 1979, horror fans have poured over the pages of Fangoria magazine. Interviews, reviews, and photos galore drew in the magazine’s readers. In the 1980s and 1990s, when the magazine was at the height of its popularity, Fangoria was an essential resource for the entire horror community. Sadly, as more and more online news sources entered the minds of horror fans, Fangoria suffered and last year publication ended abruptly. 2017 saw many of us sadly clutching our old Fangoria issues, hoping that we would one day see new issues of this great publication.

As Fangoria’s website reads, “We suppose you could fall in line, put away that beautifully printed horror magazine, and become one of the point-and-click zombies… Or you could #resist and subscribe!”

The publication will now be a quarterly print-only magazine with issues releasing in October, January, April, and July. Print only? In a technology driven world? Hell Yes! Phil Nobile, Jr., Fangoria’s new editor-in-chief, is hoping to put some nostalgia back into receiving these beautiful issues of a print publication. As Nobile stated in a recent press release regarding the re-birth of the beloved magazine:

Fangoria is something you hold in your hands, something you spend a bit of time with in the real world. That’s what it was for decades, and that’s what we’re going to make it again

And that is something I can definitely get onboard with. If you are a fan of the publication, or are interested in the resurrection of Fangoria, it is your duty to purchase your annual subscription today and support the return of this iconic brand. While there isn’t much content on the official website at the moment, the main page has a great sense of humor and a brilliant update on your tradition magazine subscription card.

Have you subscribed to Fangoria yet? Show your appreciation and send us your subscription confirmation on on TwitterInstagramReddit, and in the Horror Fiends of Nightmare on Film Street Facebook group!
