News has been pretty moot thus far on the highly anticipated Halloween ..reboot? ..sequel? The Horror community was all in a flurry last winter when the project was announced, with none other than John Carpenter, creator of 1978’s Halloween, on-board to executive produce. Though we’ve little details about filming locations, script or cast, we’ve just received some big news.
When asked about Michael Myer’s return to the big screen by next October, Jason Blum, CEO and Founder of Blumhouse, told The Wrap:
You can kill me. You can behead me. You can chop my hand off […] That’s on the record,
He’s even confirmed it again on Twitter:

Well, there you have it fiends. Halloween is coming October 2018. We’ll report back the second we have news or something concrete from the rumour mill. Until then, let’s celebrate this boring old, regular Halloween. I mean, I guess we have a Friday the 13th this October, so there’s that.
The promised release date is Oct. 19th, 2018.Danny McBride and David Gordon Green wrote the script, with Green is directing. John Carpenter is executive producing and is rumoured to be scoring the film:
