The countdown has started for the third season of Ash Vs Evil Dead with a premiere date set for Sunday, February 25, 2018. Along with the announcement of this much anticipated premiere date, fans attending the 2017 New York Comic-Con were lucky enough to catch a trailer for the upcoming season. No need to worry fiends! Those of us patiently waiting at home have been given a few stills from the season along with details from the Q&A with the cast.
After attendees were treated to the trailer (lucky creeps); Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Arielle Carver-O’Neil, and Lindsay Farris took to the stage for a Q&A session regarding Ash Vs Evil Dead and the show’s future. One popular question that wrought some more information of the new season was how the cast and crew hoped to keep the episodes fresh. Campbell spoke of “The Morgue” episode saying “Once you put your head up a cadaver’s butt, where do you go from there?” Dana DeLorenzo took this opportunity to praise the writers:
The writers keep out-doing themselves every season, and speaking of colons, there’s something even more disgusting – gag-worthy/hilarious at the same time than there was (last season) – I did not think you could top a fight with a colon, but we do (in) season 3
This is exciting to hear that more gore and gross is on the way for the series. A lot of praise was given the last season for amping the amount of blood and disgusting scenarios for our heroes to endure.
That’s not all though! During the Q&A, Bruce Campbell felt it time to drop some major promises for the finale of Season 3. In response to the uncertainty from his fellow cast mates when asked by a fan if the season would include more medieval times from Army of Darkness, Campbell revealed:
I will allude to the ending of this upcoming season in that…everything will be different. Really different. Really, really different. You’re gonna fucking pick your jaw up off the floor a the end of the season. I wish I could tell you because I’d love to see your jaws drop right now.
