Expectations for Shane Black’s The Predator reboot are pretty high and the second trailer promises some amazing, angry-alien action. The trailer opens with an alien ship crashing and a brief glimpse of a predator screaming (See? Angry.). The military investigates and is then interrogated by higher-ranking officials regarding their discovery. The officers who made the discovery in Mexico are detained out of fear of being dangerous, but ultimately are forced to defend themselves (and the world) against the invading predators. The rest of the trailer devolves into alien anarchy; citizens versus predators. There is a massive car fire, blood, and … an even bigger predator!

The Predator boasts a surprisingly star-studded cast: Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea, Boogie Nights), Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner, Coco), Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, Deliver us from Evil), Jacob Tremblay (Room, Before I Wake), Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale, Headland), and Keegan Michael Key (Key & Peele, Keanu), just to name a few.

In a recent interview with Collider, Thomas Jane had this to say about joining the cast: “I never read the script. Shane called me up… Shane’s been trying to work with me for a while. We’ve been trying to work together and this was the one I was available for. He said ‘Hey, I’m doing this movie,’ and I said ‘Great, I’m available. Show me where to be.'”

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
