Film festival season has been in high gear! Beginning Thursday, October 18th, Ohio’s Nightmares Film Festival will join the crowd. The 4 day festival, which stands by their mantra of #BetterHorror, has been deemed as a festival where “extraordinary films in compelling categories, including horror, horror comedy, thriller, and midnight” are presented.
This year’s festival includes 24 feature-length films from around the word that will span over the 4 days. In addition to the feature-lengths, there will be a whopping 164 short films making their festival premiere! They previously announced 13 films (feature and short) that would screen at the festival. Below is a complete list of features in this year’s Nightmares Film Festival lineup.
Dir. Rob Grant
A man wakes up in an abandoned facility, caked in blood, with no memory of what’s happened to him or even who he is. The only other people in this facility are a woman who seems to be in the same position, and a another man who they deem as the caretaker. But the caretaker won’t let the two leave, nor will he tell them what is going on.
THE BAD MAN (World Premiere)

One of Roger Corman first acquired films, Confessions of a Serial Killer was shelved before being released. An approved cut of the film will screen at Nightmares Film Festival. Based on the life of Henry Lee Lucas, Confessions tells the tale of a murderer who recounts his murders after he arrested.

Iris’ life begins to turn upside down as she becomes the target of a trained assassin hired by the head of an experiment dubbed The Hyde Project. Murders begin to occur everywhere Iris goes, and she soon learns that she has some secrets that even she does not know.
