Paramount Pictures announced today that principal photography has begun on the top secret project A Quiet Place.
The film, directed by John Krasinski (The Hollars, 2009’s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men), stars himself and his real-life wife Emily Blunt (The Girl on the Train, Sicario). Plot details are being kept, um, quiet for the time being. But what we do know is that it’s being produced by Michael Bay under Platinum Dunes (Ouija, The Purge films). And joining Krasinski and Blunt in front of the camera will be child actors Noah Jupe (Suburbicon), and Millicent Simmonds (soon to make her debut in Todd Haynes’ Wonderstruck).
What do you all think? Are you excited to see the celebrity power-couple together on screen? Will their chemistry translate on film? Just how quiet is this ‘place’??
Two of these questions will be answered when A Quiet Place is released in theaters April 6, 2018.
