I am the Devil, and I come to do the Devil’s work. The rumors have been confirmed, and fans of Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects rejoice – the third in the trilogy is complete and set to release sometime this fall. If all goes according to plan, Zombie says that he believes 3 From Hell will be out before Halloween 2019.
Speaking with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation (and reported by BlabberMouth), Zombie confirmed that 3 From Hell was complete when explaining the delays on his upcoming album: “I had to finish the movie. I just literally finished that two days ago. That’s done. That was taking my life for the last couple of years.”
For you kids, Rob Zombie was a successful musician before he began his work in film, both as the front man for White Zombie and as a solo act. He still pursues both music and film.
3 From Hell will bring back the Firefly family from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Rob Zombie’s wife, Sherri Moon Zombie, are all reprising their roles. The cast also includes familiar faces like Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy), Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn), and Clint Howard (Apollo 13).
3 From Hell is Rob Zombie’s first feature since 2016 (31, which saw only a limited release) and first major film since 2012 (The Lords of Salem). The Devil’s Rejects released in 2005, meaning it’s been nearly fifteen years since we heard anything from the stories of the Firefly clan.
When asked about the release date for 3 From Hell, Zombie said that he hoped it would see release in September, but he did not have a date set in stone yet. We have very few details on the plot (including whether the Firefly clan improbably survived the end of The Devil’s Rejects; something else may be going on here), but stay tuned to our Twitter, the official NOFS subreddit, and Facebook in the Horror Movie Fiend Club for more news on 3 From Hell.
