New information has just been released on this years Screamfest 2018! Screamfest is one of the largest horror film festivals and badges are on sale for the event running from October 9th to the 18th at the TCL Chinese 6 Theaters in Hollywood, California. With the anticipated lineup, this year tickets will most definitely sell out so grab yours fast! This year’s ambassador is none other than Lin Shaye who appeared in horror classics like the Insidious series, Dead End, 2001 Maniacs, the Ouija series, and the upcoming Grudge reboot. 

The Screamfest film festival unveiled the first wave of their film schedule and will include Daniel Farrand’s The Amityville Murders, Dementia II by Matt Mercer and Mike Testin, Discarnate by Mario Sorrenti, Draug by Klas Persson and Karin Engman, The Final Wish by Timothy Woodward Jr., The Golem by Doron Paz and Yoav Paz, The Haunted by David Holroyd, Lost in Apocalypse by Sky Wang, Open 24 Hours by Padraig Reynolds, Pledge by Daniel Robbins, Tumbbad by Rahi Anil Barve and Anand Gandhi, and lastly You Die by Alessandro Antonaci, Stefano Mandala, and Daniel Lascar. There will be a 10 year anniversary showing of Toby Wilkins Splinter, which made its debut at Screamfest 2008 and took home several awards. 


Throughout the last 17 years Screamfest has discovered iconic films like Paranormal Activity, Tragedy Girls, Trick ‘r Treat, 30 Days of Night, Let The Right One In, The Collection, The Human Centipede and my personal favorite The Grudge. The festival has catered to many famous horror directors such as Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, Clive Barker, Eli Roth, James Wan, Zack Snyder, and William Friedkin.
