The spectacular duo behind one of the greatest horror comedies has officially started their new project and it sounds like a killer time! Nick Frost and Simon Pegg of Shaun of the Dead (2004) fame have now joined forces with Orion Pictures to work on their latest film Svalta! This time though they will be behind the camera for their new serial killer film.

Pegg and Frost’s production company Stolen Picture, began back in 2016 when they decided they wanted to continue working together, even if they had to devote their time to bigger Hollywood Blockbusters. Just recently Frost, Pegg and Miles Ketley (Stolen Picture CEO) signed a deal with Orion Pictures to purchase their latest project, with Frost, James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders attached to write the screenplay. Frost, Pegg and Ketley are set to produce with Vice President of Orion Pictures, Dan Kagan, overseeing production.

Orion films president John Hegeman is thrilled to have Stolen Picture on board the project, stating “We are unbelievably excited to be partnering with Simon, Nick, and Miles on Svalta. The story is scary, awesome and crazy, and their unique voice is perfect for this movie. We can’t wait to bring this to the big screen with them.” Orion Pictures is no stranger to horror especially considering the fact that the company is responsible for a little film called, The Silence of the Lambs (1991).

No official plot has been given about Svalta but from what we have been told, it follows a family summer vacation gone wrong. While visiting a remote island in Sweden a family discovers a killer is loose and the locals aren’t to keen on helping outsiders. Sounds hilarious!
