Ghost-hunting comedies seem to be all the rage right now. From Ghosted on FOX to Deadtectives on Shudder, plenty of networks have given the “laugh-till-you scream” niche genre a try. And now, Amazon Prime is entering the fray, with a couple of comedy horror legends leading the charge. Truth Seekers is an all-new horror comedy series headed to the streaming network starring Sean of the Dead leads Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Variety first broke the news about the ghoulish good time, mentioning not just the stars but the production company behind the project, Stolen Pictures. Plus, Variety provided us with a small peak into the plot of the series, and according to that summary, the show is about…

[a] duo who team up to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the U.K. in the series. They stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel. Their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly as the pair begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.

The show sounds like a mix of Ghostbusters and Sherlock, with a bit of The Office in there for good luck. And if you’re anything like me, that means you’ll probably be binging the series in a single sitting. Unfortunately, Variety doesn’t have the scoop on when we’ll get to inhale this series from start to finish. However, you can bet that as soon as a release date gets set, we’ll be sure to tell you.
