Calm your vapors, Dracula fans. Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Beetlejuice) just dropped a big, adorable bombshell.

In a recent interview with EW, Ryder exemplified the extreme level of realism of Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Including using a real-life, card-carrying priest during the wedding of Jonathan and Mina Harker, roles played by both Ryder and Keanu Reeves (John Wick, The Matrix) back in 1992.

She was quoted as saying,

“In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest [..] We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”

When Reeves asked, “We said yes?” Ryder responded, “Don’t you remember that? It was on Valentine’s Day.” Then Reeve’s ultimately concluded –

“Oh my gosh, we’re married.”

It’s not surprising Coppola opted for a real priest. Dracula was notably filmed with classic film techniques, opting to do away with all contemporary film effects and methods. All of the visual and special effects in the film were created on camera and without the use of any modern-day technology. The authenticity paid off. Dracula went on to earn three Academy awards;  Best Costume Design, Best Sound Editing, and Best Makeup. It was also nominated for Best Art Direction.

If that is indeed the case, the nuptials have remained intact for over twenty years! Of course, we don’t actually think the pair are married (unless Coppola can produce the certificate? Eh? Eh?), though we can pretend in our heart of hearts. If 90’s you wants to see a 2018 where Kryder is a thing, you can watch the pair play husband and wife in upcoming drama Destination Wedding, hitting theatres on August 31st.
