Horror comedy series Stan Against Evil is back for more! IFC Midnight has picked up a third season of the show, which will no doubt bring even more witches, demons, and supernatural spectres with it! Season 3 will premiere on the channel in the coming fall.
Stan Against Evil is created by comedian and writer Dana Gould, who’s most notably known for his stand-up comedy, being a frequent guest on comedy/film podcasts, as well as writing several episodes of The Simpsons. The series follows former sheriff Stan Miller (John McGinley), and current sheriff Evie Barret (Janet Varney), who are forced to team up after discovering their New England town is home to a 300-year-old curse. As supernatural beings begin rising in the town, only they can send them back from whence they came.
Season 2 of Stan Against Evil wrapped this past November with Stan (McGinley) and Evie (Varney) accidentally opening a portal into the past, allowing some 17th century demons to create new mayhem in their quaint town of Willard’s Mill.
A gruff, old-school sheriff, Stan Miller, reluctantly teams with his young replacement, Evie Barrett, to fight supernatural forces in a small town. Stan, while fighting demons with Evie, strikes a secret bargain to bring his wife back from the dead.
Stan Against Evil is executive produced by Gould and Tom Lassally (Silicon Valley). Radical Media produces with Frank Scherma and Justin Wilkes executive producing. McGinley also produces. Also co-starring is Deborah Baker Jr. and Nate Mooney.
You can catch up on previous seasons of Stan Against Evil on the IFC website. Season 3 will premiere in Fall 2018. Be afraid-ish.
