Stranger Things has clearly become one of the biggest horror phenomenons of the past ten years. With the drop of the trailer for the upcoming third season of the hit Netflix series making its debut last week, the hype is definitely up there. Now Universal Studios has decided to continue the excitement with the release of a teaser for the return of Stranger Things to their Halloween Horror Nights.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal much, It shows, presumably Hopper, in a tunnel, as the camera slowly turns upside down. Theme Park Insider is reporting that both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando are set to bring back new Stranger Things mazes to each park that will focus on the second season of the series, as well as the upcoming third season.
Last year’s mazes were a huge hit at both parks so with the anticipation of the new season of Stranger Things coming this July, it only makes sense to make this the first maze announcement. We also know the start dates for Halloween Horror Nights at each of the parks as well. Halloween Horror Nights begins Friday, September 6th in Orlando and on Friday, September 13th in Hollywood. That gives you roughly five months to prepare yourself to enter the world of Hawkins, Indiana. I’m sure season three of Stranger Things is bound to bring us new horrors to terrify and creep us out once again, which means you can definitely expect some seriously scary mazes at both Orlando and Hollywood once again.
So do you think you are brave enough to enter the Upside-Down this Halloween? What do you hope to see in this year’s maze? Let us know in the comments below, or on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and in the Horror Fiends of Nightmare on Film Street Facebook group!
