A new trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum just dropped and boy does it look incredible. I’d start this off by screaming in excitement, but apparently according to friends and family that’s “unprofessional” and “uncalled for”. So, I’ll just begin by saying that this is going to be the greatest movie ever made in the history of the world.

Okay, I’ll admit that was hyperbole, but did we just see the same trailer. There’s a dog biting a guy’s you-know-what, ninja assassins on motorcycles, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) killing a guy while on a horse, and of course more headshots than you can count on your hands and feet. When we last left  John Wick he had just earned himself a $14 million bounty on his head and was declared “excommunicado”. Now, with the help of some friends, he has to fight his way out of New York.

Or as the official synopsis from IMDB puts it:

“Super-Assassin John Wick is on the run after killing a member of the international assassin’s guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head – he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.”

John Wick has come along way since his first big outing, when he waged a one-man war against the Russian mob. Now, he’s waging a one-man war against just about everyone after being forced back into a life he wanted nothing more than to leave behind. That might not seem like coming a long way, but what Chapter I & II did so well was depict John Wick as a guy who just wants to be left alone. All he wanted to do was drive his new puppy around in his muscle car, and grieve over the loss of his late wife. Sadly, his life was flipped upside down after a bunch of fools came around and ruin everything.

As much as I wonder why people keep thinking it’s a good idea to attack the guy who has killed more people in a week than ever thought humanly possible, I hope they never learn. That way we get to see more of Keanu Reeves dressed his best, taking down legions of goons with knives, guns, pencils, and just about anything he can get his hands on.
