Netflix made the concept of binge-watching shows and streaming movies right from the comfort of your own home popular. Fans of McG (The Babysitter, Charlie’s Angels) will now have one more movie to watch on Netflix and add to their growing queue when it comes to Rim of the World (2019). If you are curious, the trailer has now dropped for all to see.

Rim of the World is not only the name of the movie, but it is also the name of the summer camp that four teenagers:  Jack Gore (The Kids Are Alright) as Alex, Miya Cech (The Darkest Minds) as Zhenzhen, Benjamin Flores Jr. (The Haunted Hathaways) as Dariush and Alessio Scalzotto (Genius) as Gabriel, end up meeting at. The four could not be any more different, but as these situations often go, something comes along to throw a wrench into a seemingly innocuous summer and cause people to join forces.

For Alex, Zhenzhen, Dariush, and Gabriel, the something just so happens to be aliens. Aliens want to ruin their summer at Camp Rim of the World, and while they’re at it, destroy the entire Earth.

The four come together and find their way into a town filled with soldiers who are attempting to help stop the aliens. The soldiers are ambushed and obliterated. Before one of the soldiers dies, he entrusts them with a special cryptokey that can activate Earth’s satellite defense–JPL. This NASA facility is 70 miles away from where they are now, and they travel by bike and by 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 to reach their destination. Along the way, they find that even in the middle of chaos, friendship is king.

Rim of the World hits Netflix on May 24th.
