We’ve a fresh trailer for you today in the vein of a haunted house paranormal thriller. Delirium is comes from stuntman turned director Johnny Martin (Hangman, Vengeance: A Love Story) and follows a campfire tale those of us who read Goosebumps or Stephen King know all too well; a group of teens dares one of the kids to step foot on the looming porch of the rumored haunted house. Only.. he never comes back.
Watch the trailer for Delirium, above.
The Hell Gang, an exclusive club made up of a group of school friends, promise their classmate Eddie that he can join the gang if he can just make it to the porch of a legendary local mansion with a dark, sinister past. Others have tried but none have made it within sight of the mansion before fleeing back in terror. And Eddie, who is rigged with a camera to prove he did it, does not return at all! Five members of the gang must now go in to find him. They set off, confident that Eddie is trying to prank them, but what they find in the old mansion is even more terrifying than the campfire stories and legends of murdered children that once lived there.
Delirium is directed Martin, whose previous horror credits include SYFY’s film Skeleton Man, released in 2004. The screenplay is by Andy Cheng, Johnny Martin, Francisco Castro, and Lisa Clemens.
The film initially premiered last year, but is only now first being released. Gravitas Ventures will release Delirium in select theaters + on VOD starting January 19th, 2018.
*unnecessary side note; There are about 100 past, present, and future movies called Delirium; including one coming up from Blumhouse and Leonardo DiCaprio? It stars Topher Grace (That 70’s Show) as “A man recently released from a mental institute inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.” So, yeah. Keep your eyes peeled for that. *
