Christmas is a time to cozy up by the fire, slip on a Christmas family classic, and.. chow down on some body parts? Watch the teaser trailer above for the absurdly hilarious looking ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE. The film is a hybrid of horror movie, Christmas flick, and high school musical?
“What a time to be alive.”
When a zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven – at Christmas – Anna and her high school friends have to fight, sing and slash their way to survival with a fast-spreading undead horde in relentless pursuit. Teaming up with her best friend John, Anna and her crew fight their way through zombified snowmen, a manic bachelor party and high school hormones to try and save family and faculty alike. But they soon discover that no one is truly safe in this new world and the only people they can truly rely on are each other.
The film comes from Scottish director John McPhail and is based on the 2010 BAFTA-winning short Zombie Musical. That short was directed by the late Ryan McHenry who shares screenwriting credit on Anna and The Apocalypse with Alan McDonald.
The film will have its world premiere on this Friday, September 22nd at Fantastic Fest with director John McPhil and cast including Ella Hunt, Malcolm Cumming, Sarah Swire, and Christopher Leveaux in attendance.
‘Tis the season!
