Back in July, celebrated critic and horror host Joe Bob Briggs returned in a big, bad way. Known for his passion, knowledge, and hilarious commentary of exploitation and horror films, Briggs presented The Last Drive-In. The horror movie marathon was a once in a lifetime movie marathon from dusk till dawn till dusk again with 13 films in 24 hours. The show turned out to be an incredible success, not only for Joe Bob but Shudder as well. The event trended so heavily that it broke the internet.
Despite his promises that it would be the last time, the success of The Last Drive-In was too overwhelming. Shudder announced that Joe Bob Briggs would be back this holiday season with more shows and more commentary. Well, the time is nigh. For Black Thursday, we’re going “dust til dawn” with the horror host as he sits at the head of the table in his horned recliner to our absolute delight.
Black Thursday is nigh.

From Shudder’s press release:
Joe Bob Briggs is back, just in time to save you from having to talk politics with your family on Thanksgiving Day. Feast on a selection of “deadly dinner” films hand-picked by the world’s foremost (and possibly only) drive-in movie critic, kicking off with Joe Bob’s all-time favorite drive-in classic, which he’ll be presenting for the first time in more than thirty years of TV horror hosting.
In addition to Dinners of Death, Joe Bob will be back with a Christmas special, perfectly named, A Very Joe Bob Christmas. Shudder is also working with the horror host and his team to plan a series in the upcoming new year. We can expect much more Joe Bob in the future and prepare for it to be a ride.
Dinners of Death will premiere Thanksgiving Day, November 22, at 9 pm EST / 6 pm PST only on Shudder. If you missed The Last Drive-In, check it out now on demand.
