You’d be hard-pressed to find a horror fan who’s not a fan of Creepshow. Originally a 1982 horror anthology from the minds of Stephen King and George A. Romero, Creepshow’s brand of bite-sized terror was a genre smash, following up with two sequels. [Editor’s Note: wooh, Creepshow 2!!]

Spooky Streaming platform Shudder has teamed up with SFX-wizard-turned-filmmaker Greg Nicotero to bring the revival series to life, promising plenty of scares from some iconic names in horror today. Shudder’s been slowly rolling out glimpses of the new Creepshow series, teasing us with posters and a look at the newly designed ‘Creeper’. But now, we finally have a look at the very first trailer!

 

CREEPSHOW, a Shudder Original Series premiering September 26.

Based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, comes a new horror anthology series from the mind of The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero.

Creepshow stars David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Big Boi, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Bruce Davison, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Tricia Helfer and DJ Qualls).

 

At the San Diego Comic Con this weekend, Shudder also announced the first two Creepshow stories that kickstart the show: the Stephen King story “Gray Matter,” adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi and directed by series showrunner Nicotero, which stars Barbeau, Esposito and Tobin Bell (Saw); and “House of the Head,” written by Josh Malerman (Bird Box) and directed by John Harrison.

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, shares an exclusive sneak peek of Creepshow, the upcoming new horror anthology series based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero.

Creepshow panelists include Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Lucifer) and Adrienne Barbeau (1982’s Creepshow, The Fog), along with showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and author Joe Hill (NOS4A2). The panel will be moderated by The Los Angeles Times’ film reporter Jen Yamato.
