[Trailer] Sci-Fi Thriller THE TITAN Proves Evolution Comes at a Price

We have the latest trailer for sci-fi horror The Titan, the latest project of Avatar’s Sam Worthington. Voltage pictures have dropped the first international trailer for the film, directed by German filmmaker Lennart Ruff.

The film follows Janssen (Worthington), a military man who’s trying to survive on a dying planet (some alternate/futuristic version of Earth). Chosen for a special program to re-colonize humanity on one of Saturn’s moons, he begins the strange process of ‘augmentation’. It isn’t long before Janssen begins to mutate and change, but this evolved species may not be so benign, and may not retain much humanity..

Official Synopsis for The Titan:

A military family takes part in a ground-breaking experiment of genetic evolution and space exploration. Hotshot Air Force pilot, Rick Janssen (Worthington), is chosen for a military experiment that will create a human being capable of surviving the harsh environments of Saturn’s moon, Titan. The experiment is successful, turning Rick into a super-human, but it also creates deadly side-effects which threatens the life of Rick, his wife and family, and possibly humanity itself.

Rounding out the cast alongside Worthington, are Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black), Tom Wilkinson (Selma), Agyness Deyn (Patient Zero), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), and Corey Johnson (Ex Machina). The film is based on an original story by Arash Amel (Grace of Monaco) with the screenplay penned by Max Hurwitz (Hell on Wheels).

The Titan will land in theatres in the UK on April 13th. A North American release has not yet been set, but we expect it to follow along shortly.
