Verdict: The leadup to Backrooms was such a rollercoaster that we really didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t really care much at all about the movie until that first trailer dropped, and then we were hooked. The anticipation was real, the premise was super scary, but we were pretty underwhelmed by the finished product. It’s another secret A24 Art House Horror so you’re probably either going to love it or hate it. We did not love it.
