We aren’t going to get too excited about Christmas, yet, because I’m sure we all plan on using the next 3.5 months to celebrate Halloween. But, we’re still going to get excited about the upcoming release of Deathcember, the anthology film touting 24 shorts from 24 different directors. It’ll be a horror-tinged advent calendar, each door opening to a new, terrifying short.

Now, we have a teaser trailer to feast upon. It’s full of blink-and-you’ll-miss-them snippets from the shorts that we’ll soon experience. There’s gore. There’s freaky Christmas creatures. There’s claymation! There’s a blood-splattered Tiffany Shepis (Victor Crowley, Tales of Halloween) screaming through her best yuletide fear.

Producer and creator Dominic Saxl along with coproducers Ivo Scheloske and Frank Vogt are the masterminds behind the advent calendar of terror. Epic Pictures, who recently kicked of Dread Presents with Dread Central, will distribute the film, adding to their roster of horror flicks such as Slay Belles, Golem, and Book of Monsters. The directors behind each advent calendar door are Dominic Saxl, Michael Varrati, Lazar Bodroža, Florian Frerichs, Isaac Ezban, Sonia Escolano, Bob Pipe, Steve De Roover, Jürgen Kling, Ama Lea, Sadrac González-Perellón, Julian Richards, Lee Sang-woo, Vivienne Vaughn, Ruggero Deodato, Sam Wineman, Andreas Marschall, Lucky McKee, Milan Todorović, Pollyanna McIntosh, Rémi Fréchette, Jason A. Rostovsky, John Cook Lynch, Trent Haaga, Annika Marx, BJ Colangelo, Zach Shildwachter and Alyosha Saari.
