APPLECART Trailer Teases Seclusion and Bloodshed

“Let’s stay in a wooded cabin during a snowstorm,” they said. “It will be fun,” they said. If you agree with that statement, then you might want to check out the new teaser trailer for Applecart, the directorial debut from Bradford Baruh.

An idyllic weekend vacation to a secluded cabin turns deadly when the Pollack family discovers an unconscious woman whose sinister plans will pit the family members against each other.

It seems Baruh may be bringing some practical effects to the table but it’s hard to tell from the brief glimpses we get in the trailer. Either way, being isolated to a cabin in the middle of the woods during a snowstorm is not fun. Combine that with someone (or something) plotting to kill you and you have a recipe for terror.

Applecart stars scream-queen Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond) who will be acting alongside two of her previous co-stars; AJ Bowen (You’re Next) and Brea Grant (Beyond the Gates). Applecart also stars Joshua Hoffman (Shameless), Sophie Dalah (Satanic), Elise Luthman (Henry Danger), and monster-movie advocate and actor Daniel Roebuck (Halloween: The Happy Haunting of America).

Applecart is produced by Bradford Baruh and Andy Meyers. Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, John Dies at the End, Bubba Ho-Tep) serves as executive producer. The film is written by first-time screenwriter Irving Walker.

You can catch Applecart when it premieres at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas on September 22.
