From its humble beginnings at the most violent “documentary” ever made (Banned in 46 Countries!) to its controversial cult status, Faces of Death was never a movie any of us assumed would get a glow-up, but here we are.
In Daniel Goldhaber’s Faces of Death (2026), a serial killer is using social media to post brutal recreations of the original film’s death sequences, that the platform is allowing because no one would be crazy enough to film real murders for their TikTok page. Now, it’s up to one determined content moderator (played by Barbie Ferreira) to internet sleuth her way to justice (and maybe also online fame while we’re at).
