Saw fans have been eagerly awaiting the 8th installment of the franchise. Jigsaw, shedding the constraints (slightly) of it’s former title, promises to be a new beginning after the 2010 release; Saw: The Final Chapter.
A new trap has been set in the exclusive new clip from IGN recently shared via Twitter. The latest batch of unsuspecting victims have awoken in one of Jigsaw’s classic games. Each person with some sort of bucket contraption on their head, rigged to a pulley system. A crank reels inwards – and we know time is immediately of the essence. Will our new protagonists make it out alive? Based on previous franchises, not likely. “Do you want to play a game?” Check the clip out, below.

After a series of murders bearing all the markings of the Jigsaw killer, law enforcement find themselves chasing the ghost of a man dead for over a decade and embroiled in a new game that’s only just begun. Is John Kramer back from the dead to remind the world to be grateful for the gift of life? Or is this a trap set by a killer with designs of their own?
Jigsaw stars Tobin Bell, Mandela Van Peebles, Laura Vandervoort, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, Hannah Emily Anderson, Josiah Black, Shaquan Lewis, Michael Boisvert, and James Gomez. Brothers Peter and Michael Spierig (Daybreakers, Predestination) direct from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfiner (Piranha 3D, Piranha 3DD, Sorority Row).
Jigsaw comes to theatres everywhere on October 27th. The film has been rated R for “grisly bloody violence and torture.”
