If you were wondering how 3 From Hell was going to play out giving the ending of its predecessor, The Devil’s Rejects – you’re only going to have more questions after reading this article.

Over the past 24 hours, shock-rocker turned occasional horror director Rob Zombie shared some behind the camera shots of our beloved Firefly’s – Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig).

The images show our murderous trio either behind bars or in the accompaniment of clothed officers – which leads us to believe 3 From Hell isn’t going to be a prequel, as had previously been speculated. Our remaining options are that the final shootout (and killer denouement) of The Devil’s Rejects either was ‘all a dream’ or simply just not as lethal as it looked. It sure looked pretty lethal.

But, we’ll have to wait a while before we find out. Zombie is soon embarking on a major tour with fellow musician Marilyn Manson. He doesn’t intend hit the editing room on 3 From Hell until after the tour wraps later this year. “The film will just basically sit and wait till I get back from tour, which is the end of August, maybe… I don’t remember when the tour ends… beginning of September. And then we’ll start editing. And that’ll take me through the rest of the year” Rob Zombie shared with Trunk Nation, continuing – “The editing will be five or six months, maybe.”

So, we shouldn’t expect any release news until later in the year, with a release sometime in 2019. But, we can all take care in the fact that Zombie is quite active on his Instagram, using it as his primary method to release news and sneak peaks on 3 From Hell. We’ll keep our eyes glued there, and you keep yours here at Nightmare on Film Street for all the latest in horror news. Got something to say? Head on over to our Horror Group on Facebook.
