FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE GAME Reveals New Map and Jason

Dust off the machete and prepare  to stalk some counselors! Gun Media has dropped a stormy new teaser video hinting our first new content for Friday the 13th The Game. The teaser gives us a brief look at the new map, the Jarvis House, and a playable version of Jason from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The video also features a newly added raining effect to the map. This feature has been noted to be a popular demand amongst players.

This will be the first new Jason for players to helm since the game’s release, but part of a steady stream of newly released content. Much like the other versions of Jason included in the game, this one will most likely support unique kills and perks exclusive to the character. The exact traits of this new Jason haven’t been revealed yet, but I think it’s safe to assume he’ll be wielding his signature machete from the 4th installment of the film.

The upcoming map is confirmed to be the Jarvis House from Part IV. The trailer (above) previews the large building, which is likely to be the centre point at the new map. This is similar to previous designs in existing maps like Packanack Lodge. As for other details, including the possible escape routes like number of vehicles and boat access- we’ll just have to wait and see.

No word yet on whether a playable, Young Tommy will be made available. (Not likely, but that would be sweet)

The upcoming content was confirmed by the Friday the 13th: The Game team on Twitter:

A physical release for Friday the 13th The Game on Xbox One and Playstation 4 is slated for Friday, October 13th, but digital downloads are currently available on all platforms.
