As a horror fan, the Golden Globes and Academy Awards are usually your cue to take a backseat. Rarely do genre films see as much representation in Awards Season as Silence of The Lambs or The ExorcistThis year saw a noticeable increase in attention to horror with nominations for Jordan Peele‘s Get Out Guillermo Del Toro’s The Shape of Water, among others. To most, the Golden Globes are seen as an early predictor to The Academy Awards. This year had some pretty big surprises, including The Handmaid’s Tale beating out Stranger Things for Best Television Series (Drama), and Daniel Kaluuya’s loss to James Franco for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy).

While we are still holding out to see if Get Out receives a nomination or Best Picture, Guillermo Del Toro may finally take home a much deserved Oscar. Below is the full list of winners, for both Television and Film, in the 75th annual Golden Globes.
