Earlier today, Hellboy creator Mike Mignola posted to Twitter that we should expect a new movie trailer at exactly midnight. And just like he promised, one has arrived. Check it out here!
The promise of a new trailer also came with an all new poster for the film, which you can check out at the bottom of the article. Though these are maybe the most exciting pieces of news about the new Hellboy film this week, they’re not alone. This week also saw an official rating come out for the Neil Marshall reboot. Fans have speculated for a while that the return to the franchise would earn an R rating from the MPAA, and sure enough, it did. You may recall Mignola’s earlier comments on how the film is darker in tone than the Guillermo Del Toro movies, and judging by the trailer and poster we just got, we’d say he’s right.
Hellboy is headed to theaters on April 12th, 2019. It stars Stranger Things lead David Harbour as the titular occult detective and Milla Jovovitch as the evil Blood Queen.
