This Halloween season, Six Flags and CBS Films are teaming up for a new haunted attraction based on the upcoming horror movie, Hell Fest. The haunt will be part of this year’s Fright Fest lineup at three different Six Flags parks. In the maze, guests will walk through rooms that are themed after scenes from the movie, including The Mausoleum, The Mask Room, The Doll Room, and The Torture Chamber, while being pursued by the movie’s villain, The Other.
Hell Fest is perfect for a Halloween haunt. In the film, a masked killer begins knocking off visitors at a horror themed amusement park. Hell Fest stars Bex Taylor-Klaus (Scream: The TV Series), Amy Forsyth (Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block), Reign Edwards, Matt Mercurio, and Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination). The film was directed by Gregory Plotkin (Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension) and produced by Gale Anne Hurd. Hell Fest is scheduled for release on September 28th.
Per the official press release, Gregory Plotkin had this to say about the maze: “Fall means Halloween and for millions of people, Halloween means Fright Fest at their favorite Six Flags theme park. We are excited for Six Flags patrons to have the unique opportunity to step inside the terrifying world of Hell Fest. I can’t wait to hear the screams and laughter!”
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation operates 25 theme parks in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Fright Fest, the park’s annual Halloween themed event, runs Friday through Sunday from September 15 through October 31 but times do vary by park. The Hell Fest maze will be featured at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA, Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ and Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL.
