If you’re anything like us here at Nightmare on Film Street, you’ve had all of your attention on the upcoming What We Do In The Shadows series spin-off. A Vampire mocumentary from 2014, the film has grown to cult status – probably because we can’t stop quoting it. Everyday.
After a spin-off in the UK called Wellington Paranormal, following the dunderhead police officers Karen and Mike from the original film, it was only a matter of time before a full-fledged follow-up would head our way. And it comes in the form of a new series premiering on FX, March 2019. The What We Do in the Shadows series will follow a new group of Vampire roommates, this time in New York City. Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillen, and Mark Proksch will star. Watch the teaser, below:
Immortality has its drawbacks. Find out What We Do In The Shadows this March on FX.
What We Do in the Shadows is a half-hour comedy series based on the feature film of the same name by co-creators Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. Set in New York City, the show follows three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years. Stars Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillen and Mark Proksch.
Though the teaser gives very little away, we do get our first glimpses at an all new vampire cast. Will they be as goofy and loveable as preppy Viago (Taikia Waititi), enchanting Vladislav (Jemaine Clement), cool guy Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and new vamp on the block Nick (Cori Gonzalez-Macuer)? Guess we’ll have to wait until March to see.
