Fourteen years before Death returned to collapse ceilings on unsuspecting audience members, (and after we all thought the franchise was finished for good) Final Destination 5 smashed its way cinemas for one more rampage of Rune Goldberg death traps!
Depending on which horror fan you ask, Final Destination 5 is either a lower tier entry or a brilliantly gory sendoff…IN 3D! This late-in-the-game addition might not look like much at first, but it has a few aces hidden up its’ sleeve including one of the franchise’s best (and most brutal!) kill sequences, a chef’s kiss wraparound at the end, and a new rule-bending idea that throws Death’s Design a real curveball.
If there’s one thing that William Bloodworth taught us, it’s that Death is coming for us all no matter how clever we are, and no matter how fortified our mountain bunker may be. Never forget: You can’t cheat death…but you can binge an entire podcast series about it. 💀
