Funko has been on quite the roll the past year. They recently released Pop Culture character cereals in addition to the classic pops of all of our favorite characters, and now the newest Funko collaboration – Funko and Target are bringing your eight new tees inspired by your favorite 1980’s flicks on VHS! If you’re a VHS junkie like I am, you’ll love that these tees even come in classic VHS package boxes!
This collaboration highlights films from several genres, all of which are 80s classics. Among the films included in the collection are Back to the Future, Rocky, Gremlins, and the horror-comedy classic Beetlejuice. For fans of the action flicks of the 80s, make sure to grab one of the Robocop or Bloodsport tees. And if you’re a comedy fan, check out the Animal House or Fast Times at Ridgemont High options.
Much like Funko’s cereals, these shirts (and their amazing packaging) light a nostalgic fire in us all. Funko has really fueled the pop culture marketplace with their creative lines of merchandise, across all genres. Whether you are a collector of Funko Pops, or their other unique lines, it is hard to deny that they know what they are doing. As soon as these shirts were announced I knew I would have to get one.
These definitely scream Holiday gift ideas! Right now though, they are still marketed as Coming Soon, though we do know they will be exclusive to Target. Keep your eyes peeled for this launch so you can nab one for the VHS or movie junkie in your life! Personally, I’m coming for that Beetlejuice tee.
