An anniversary, a secluded lake, and betrayal. Colin Minihan’s (It Stains the Sands Red) latest thriller, What Keeps You Alive, will celebrate its World Premiere later this week at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival. Read on for the synopsis, casting, and first still from the film!

The film stars Hannah Emily Anderson, fresh off the release of the latest Saw Installment, Jigsaw. Anderson is joined by Brittany Allen, who also starred in Minihan’s It Stains The Sands Red. Martha MacIsaac (Superbad, Unicorn Store, Battle of the Sexes) and Joey Klein (TV’s 12 Monkeys) co-star.

Majestic mountains, a still lake and venomous betrayals engulf a female married couple attempting to celebrate their one-year anniversary.

Minihan both wrote and directed What Keeps You Alive. His other credits include co-writing/directing found-footage favorite Grave Encounters alongside frequent collaborator Stuart Ortiz, as well as co-writing and Producing Still/Born alongside Brandon Christensen, the film’s director.

The new thriller featuring the stars of the just-released box office champ, Jigsaw, WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE is from writer-director Colin Minihan (It Stains the Sands Red, Grave Encounters) and stars Hannah Emily Anderson (Jigsaw, Dark Phoenix) and Brittany Allen (It Stains the Sands Red). 

 

WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE pits a female couple against one another during their one-year anniversary. Rounding out the cast are Martha MacIsaac (Superbad, Unicorn Store, Battle of the Sexes) and Joey Klein (TV’s 12 Monkeys).
