Season two of Castle Rock is set to air on Hulu this October, and we have your first look at the brand new trailer. Up until now, the character of Annie Wilkes has been heavily promoted as being part of the new season, and the trailer makes it clear that the overall story arc will focus on her. Read on for your first look at the full trailer.
Castle Rock is based on the work of bestselling horror author Stephen King. In the world of his writing, Castle Rock is a fictional town in Main where King has set several of his most popular books, including Needful Things, The Dark Half, and Cujo, to name a few. The TV show brings various characters, locales, and themes from King’s universe all together into an original story line. Season one, which originally aired on Hulu in 2018, received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both critics and fans. The show was an immediate hit for Hulu, and a second season was quickly put into production.
The first season of Castle Rock stars Bill Skarsgård (Stephen King’s It), Andre Holland (Moonlight), Sissy Spacek (Carrie), and Melanie Lynskie (Heavenly Creatures). Season two stars Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption), Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), and Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield) as Annie Wilkes. The character of Annie Wilkes originated in King’s classic novel Misery, and was later brought to life by actress Kathy Bates, who won an Academy Award for the portrayal.
You’ll be able to catch Lizzy Caplan’s take on the classic character when the second season of Castle Rock premiers October 23 on Hulu.
