IFC Midnight‘s newest thriller Welcome To Mercy is coming for you! Get your first look with the new poster and trailer below, and say your prayers because the evil already exists inside you, and it’s about to come out to the surface. As the trailer so haunting states, “You will find what you need, if you look deep enough”.

Welcome To Mercy is an eerie tale of good and evil, set inside a small convent. When a single mother begins to experience stigmata, a local priest and nun help show her a world hidden just below our own. Directed by Tommy Bertelsen, Welcome To Mercy stars Lily Newmark, Eva Ariel Binder, Eileen Davies, and Kristen Ruhlin who is also penned the script. The film will celebrate it’s world premiere at the 2018 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, alongside Nicolas Pesce’s Piercing, Peter Strickland’s In Fabric and Duncan Skiles’s The Clovehitch Killer.


Official Synopsis:

A young woman struggles against the unholy forces that possess her in this terrifying occult thriller. After being stricken with stigmata, single mother Madaline (Kristen Ruhlin) is sent to a remote convent where nothing is what it seems and her friend August (Lily Newmark) is seemingly the only person she can trust. Together, they must confront the demons inside Madaline before she becomes the Antichrist.


Welcome To Mercy is set to make it’s world premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival October 13, 2018 and will also premiere at the L.A. ScreamFest the same day. If you’re not in the area, or unable to attend either festival, Welcome To Mercy will be available in select theaters, VOD and via digital platforms in the U.S. on November 2, 2018.
